First General Body Meeting for the 2010-2011 year

ASME is having its first Fall Quarter General Body Meeting on Thursday, September 30th, 2010 at 7pm in EBU II 479.

Come to learn more about ASME and hear presentations from our three projects: Human Powered Submarine, Human Powered Vehicle, and Triton Robotix.

There will be FREE pizza and soda served after the meeting. All majors are welcome! No commitment is required!

Announcements - March 29, 2010

We're almost done with midterms! Yay!~ To those who still have a couple left: Good Luck! Now, onto the events:

Our 2nd GBM of the last quarter! Please attend to those who are interested in running for a position in ASME 2010 - 2011. We will also be discussing future events (such as MAE DAY!) and other important details as well!

Engineering in Exploration

Type: Info Session/Lunch

When: Wednesday, May 5th

Time: 12:30 - 1:30pm

Where: Atkinson Hall Auditorium

Why: - They are seeking motivated UCSD students to work with UCSD Faculty/Staff, NGS Engineers, and NGS Explorers to build innovative remote imaging tools that will be deployed on real NGS expeditions.

- This program provides a multi-disciplinary platform for students to engage and contribute directly to National Geographic exploration


Casino Night hosted by SCSE

Type: Social/Fundraiser

When: Friday, May 7th

Time: 8pm - 11pm

Where: The Great Hall

Why: - Casino games, music, raffles, prizes, auction and FUN!

- All Donations gathered at the event will benefit UCSD SCSE's competition Teams (Concrete Canoe, Steel Bridge, and Seismic Design), SCSE's Chile Relief Group, UCSD's Freshman/Sophomore Scholarships, and SDSU's ASCE student chapter.

**Please Note: All Donations are 1000% tax deductible

Girls Day Out!

Why: - Help inspire girls to become engineers too!
