Hey you guys,

I hope everyone had a wonderful break! Now that we are back in school, what better way to start off the winter quarter than to come to our 1st GBM of the quarter!

SPECIAL NOTE: ASME has now changed its' meeting style! - We will only be having an official ASME GBM three times per quarter to give updates/presentation on our three project teams as well as other important ASME information. It is never too late to be involved so please come to our first GBM as we will be presenting/discussing new ways to get involved in ASME!

Below are some upcoming events that ASME as well as other engineering organization will be hosting:

ASME 1st Winter Quarter GBM

When: Monday, January 11th

Time: 7 - 8pm

Where: EBUII 479

Why: - FREE FOOD!!

- All three Project Teams will be present to give updates

- We will be introducing a Fundraising Committee for members to become active participants and be more involved in ASME

- Give an outline of what ASME will be doing for Winter Quarter

- Give more information about our ASME+CSE Game Night Social

ASME+CSE GAME NIGHT SOCIAL

Type: Social

When: Thursday, January 14th

Time: Tentative - Will either start around 6pm or 7:30

Location: TBA

Why: FREE FOOD AND LOTS OF GAMES!

- Meet new people/friends as well!

- If anyone has games to share, please come~ :]

** I will be sending out more information later on, so please be on the look out for that

Human Powered Submarine (HPS) GBM

When: Monday, January 11th

Time: 6pm - 7pm

Location: EBUII 479

Why: New members can show up to any meeting at any time

- All of them are excited to help anyone out!

Why: Hosted by the Computer Science Engineering Society (CSES)

- No experience needed

- Learning HTML or CSS programming

Envision – Outreach event
Type: Outreach
When: Saturday, 1/9/10
Time: 7:30 AM – 3:00 PM
Why: Envision seeks to unveil to local high school girls the world of opportunity offered by engineering and CS. So volunteers will be needed to help host the event.
